Excursions

The experiences to be had on the Amalfi Coast are many and truly varied.

Whether you are a lover of the outdoors and trekking, or of historical tours filled with curiosity and anecdotes, or just want to enjoy a day outdoors among unspoiled nature, a vacation in Amalfi is undoubtedly for you.

Ziro Tower

The Ziro Tower, an integral part of the landscape that stands on the mountainous promontory between Amalfi and nearby Atrani, is part of the ancient system of watchtowers that developed all along the Coast, varying in shape depending on the era and domination. Only traces of the crenellated walls that surrounded it remain. The tower is the subject of various local beliefs and myths related to its history and the most recent restoration in 2006.

Valley of the Ironworks

The Ferriere Valley Nature Reserve is of great botanical as well as naturalistic interest due to the karstification of the area, which has led to the presence of numerous springs and waterfalls that feed the stream from which the Canneto River originates. It takes its name from the ancient paper and iron mills that resided here. The hike is marked by a trail, and guided tours are also provided.

Path of the Gods

This famous path winds for more than 4 km starting from Bomerano (a hamlet of Agerola) and going all the way to Nocelle or Positano. Relying on a guide is recommended. The hilltop town of Bomerano can only be reached by regular buses. The route can end at Nocelle, from which you can take a bus, or at Positano from which you can conveniently take a boat and return to Amalfi.

Lemon Trail

The Lemon Trail is 1 km in length and winds through the coastal villages of Maiori and Minori as a safe alternative to the driveway. From the priceless charm bestowed by the striking coastal landscape admired from the other, framed by the lemon groves that draw the terraces of the Coastal mountains, it is a gentle path that can be easily walked even by families with young children.
