Passion and dedication to hospitality in a privileged landscape
The La Bussola hotel in Amalfi was born from the careful restoration of an old pasta factory from the early 1900s built right on the seashore, and of which it retains all the load-bearing structures with large tuff walls and important cubic spaces, creating rooms with high ceilings and lots of natural light.
It has opened as a family-run hotel since 1963, managed with passion and dedication by the Di Lieto-Bergamasco family. It is named both in memory of our ancestors who introduced the compass instrument to Europe and because of our vocation to care for and mentor our guests.
Our mission is to provide a relaxing and welcoming experience that can be a home and family for all travelers away from their own. Our hotel wants to be the place of meeting, reunion and fulfillment of dreams, and thanks to our guests we realize our life.
The facility towers over the waterfront, just a few steps from the sea and a hundred meters from the tourist pier, bus terminal, and Cathedral Square. Because of its central location, the hotel provides a convenient and comfortable way to fully enjoy the Amalfi Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
